Help shape Northern Ireland's infrastructure

The Department for Infrastructure employs around 3,000 people and has responsibility for infrastructure and services that are fundamental to everyday life across Northern Ireland.

Current PTO Civil Engineering Assistant opportunities are available within the Transport and Road Asset Management (TRAM) Group and Water and Departmental Delivery Group (WADD).

TRAM helps maintain, manage and develop Northern Ireland's transport network, supporting the safe and convenient movement of people and goods.
Within WADD, the Rivers Directorates work to manage flood risk, protect life and property and support sustainable places and economic development.

Department of Finance (Land & Property Services)
Managing land registration, valuation, and property tax.

Department for Communities
Supporting benefits, pensions, housing, and employment services.

Department of Education
Ensuring teachers are paid and pensions are managed accurately.

Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA)
Supporting sustainable farming, climate goals, and rural communities.
