Become an Administrative Officer in the Department of Education and join Teachers’ Pay and Pensions Team (TPPT). TPPT administers the payment of teachers’ salary on behalf of employing authorities such as the Education Authority (EA), Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) and other sectors such as Irish Medium and Integrated schools. We also administer and make payments on behalf of the NI Teachers’ Pension Scheme (NITPS).

What You’ll Do
Our Administrative Officers play a vital role in ensuring 22,000 serving teachers and 26,000 retired teachers are paid each month. Whether you are processing salary payrolls or applications for retirement, you will be part of a team that directly ensures monthly payments to over 48,000 people.
You will receive full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in a variety of administrative roles as well as gaining valuable insight into the wider education system.
