Who is NICS?

Department of Finance (Land & Property Services)
Managing land registration, valuation, and property tax.

Department for Communities
Supporting benefits, pensions, housing, and employment services.

Department of Education
Ensuring teachers are paid and pensions are managed accurately.

Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA)
Supporting sustainable farming, climate goals, and rural communities.

We’re currently seeking online Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the role of Administrative Officer (AO).

By completing the online form, you are registering your interest to work for NICS. You will be required to select preferences in terms of Department and location. Please note that preferences are not guaranteed.

There are currently five Departments included in this competition with posts across three areas – 2, 4 and 5 (see list of areas above). NICS also operates two work patterns – Standard Working Pattern and Alternative Working Pattern. Please refer to the Candidate Information Booklet for more information.

You will also be required to answer questions regarding to your skills and experience across office procedures, computer skills, meeting deadlines, time management and interpersonal skills as well as using your own initiative and working as part of team.
